Kitty Crib provides a halfway home for the cats in need.

Our Shelter’s Policies

1. We Do Not Surrender Cats to the SPCA

When we take in kittens or cats, we provide care until they are ready for adoption. Once they are ready, we ensure they go to loving, permanent homes. We do not surrender cats or kittens to the SPCA, nor do we require anyone to do so.

2. We Do Not Advocate for Euthanasia

We believe that every cat deserves a chance at a happy and healthy life. We do not encourage euthanasia simply because a cat is sick or needs to be rehomed. Instead, we do everything we can to find solutions and provide support to both cats and their owners.

3. Spaying and Neutering is Essential

We strongly encourage cat owners to spay and neuter their pets. Not only does this promote a healthier life for your feline companion, but it also helps prevent the overpopulation of stray and abandoned cats in our community. Whenever possible, we assist in facilitating spay and neuter procedures to ensure more cats receive this vital care.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and works tirelessly to create a safer, more compassionate community for cats. Your dedication makes a difference! 🌸

Kitty Season Public Service Announcement

We get tons of calls. Many people explain that the mother cat just left the kittens there. I would like to ask that people do the following before removing the babies:

🐈Watch the babies first and see if the mom doesn't come back later. Remember mommy is also getting hungry and she has to go find food for herself. Watch the babies from a distance for at least 12 - 18 hours. The mother will not go to her babies if she sees people around. Remember street cats are afraid of people.

🐈 If the baby kittens are in danger, you can move them to a safer part nearby. Please remember that the mother usually chooses a safe place for her babies. If conditions in the area should change, she will move her babies again.
